Good old music

Apr 10

I’ve discovered that I always seem to listen to the same music. Well, there isn’t anything wrong with that, the problem is just that because I listen to music almost all the time, I’m afraid of hearing the same songs so often that I get sick of them. I feel that this is happening with some of my favourite music, which is not good. The problem is that when I find new music that I like, I listen to it so often that soon it isn’t new anymore.

Maybe I should just sort my music differently, currently it lies in folders sorted by artist, and I usually just listen to the contents of a whole folder because I can’t be bothered to change the music all the time while I’m working on the computer. Perhaps I could change my music player as well, I could find one that has a “make funky playlist” function, as Windows Media Player doesn’t exactly suit my geeky image.

Another solution would be to use a lot of money on buying a bunch of new music all at once. The thing is that I don’t know how I would be able to find lots of different music I like at the same time, and then comes the fact that CD’s are pretty expensive. However, I consider myself such a music lover that a good, broad music collection could be seen as an investment. So, do you have any good tips for finding new music?

I know exactly how you feel. I love to listen to music but I feel it’ll wear out and I won’t feel the same way when I listen. =X

I suggest trying a few songs of different genres and if you like what you hear… look more into that genre and see if you can get into it, I guess. I’m not good at advice. Sorry. Lol.

I often visit music blogs, as they tend to have songs available from a range of genres. Blogs such as builtonaweakspot.com and 3hive.com. :)
